Nico – 1 year old male Terrier

Meet Nico our little terrier – he is 12 months and still a baby in many ways. He is on foster in Gloucestershire living with 3 large dogs and 2 older children. He was given up for nipping a child – this child was 2 years old and at the time was putting her hand in his food bowl while he was eating!  There were 4 young children in this house and I would say that he has been their little toy for the last year! When he first came into foster he was extremely nervous of everybody, scared he was going to be hit, scared of the dogs because he was not used to mixing, scared of the car.

He has came on leaps and bounds, he now loves the car, loves the other dogs and trusts the children and is even doing the school run now, he has been to tennis club and had high tea (pinched a sandwich) but it has taken a few weeks with lots of love and kindness to get him to this stage. He is a fantastic little dog off the lead and never goes too far, he is 99% house trained, very calm for terrier not manic and he is going to be fantastic for somebody – but it really needs to be someone who can carry on what we are doing – so this little guy gets over his past life of being teased and messed around.

He has been a joy to look after and watch grow in confidence and love life again but its time to start looking for his forever home.

Nico has been neutered, micro chipped, wormed and flead.
