Nina is a Patterdale Terrier cross of around 3 years old who is currently being fostered in Marsham (FR001).
Nina was born to a street dog in Romania who has still to this day avoided being caught and sadly had many litters. Nina was caught as a puppy along with siblings and taken into the safety of a private shelter. Sadly all her siblings found homes but nobody ever offered to take Nina.
Growing up and spending her adolescence in the shelter has left Nina quite scared and under socialised. She is playing a cruel game of catch up, learning and seeing the things as an adult that should be second nature to her from a few weeks old. She needs a kind and patient owner who understands her fears and will afford her the time and love she needs to reach her full potential.
Nina enjoys the company of other dogs but is very low in the pecking order and has a tendency to be picked on by the stronger character dogs if I don’t supervise and intervene. For this reason, it really is SO important that she finds a new home as soon as possible because she just isn’t confident enough to push herself forward here and really shine!
