Nogal – 3 year old male German Shepherd Cross

Nogal is a 3 year old male German Shepherd Cross. Nogal is a handsome black and tan German Shepherd mix with no tail ! He stands at 61 cm high and 90 cm long and he weighs 25kgs which is an average weight for a Shepherd. He is a young, active dog with energy. He needs an active person who will exercise him and play with him. He loves going for walks, and despite his enthusiasm, he’s great when he’s taken outside and doesn’t pull too much once the enthusiasm of leaving the kennel is gone. He is very used to walking on a lead because he is taken outside for walks every weekend, but he would benefit a lot from someone walking him daily to complete his lead training.

Nogal loves playing with a ball and loves long walks. He is also remarkably intelligent, he has a great potential and we are sure he’d be highly trainable. He has some German Shepherd Dog in him and he has clearly inherited the traits of the breed, because he is as loyal, obedient and clever as it gets. He is very sociable with other dogs, but he clearly prefers dogs of his same size or smaller. He feels intimidated by dogs bigger than him. He shares his kennel with other 4 dogs, female and male, and he’s never been in trouble with them. He adores being with people and is eager to show affection.

He won’t leave your side if you are giving him head rubs, he just can’t get enough! His recall is already good and he will have no trouble at all being off lead once he knows and trusts his family. He’s been with children and he was calm and happy about it. He is very good with children. He does not like cats and would not want to live in a home with cats. He only needs to find a family that provides him exercise and cuddles; he doesn’t have any apparent issues. Nogal was brought to the Spanish pound in 2015. He has no tail and we don’t know if someone had cut it or he was born like that… He was skinny and not in the best condition.

Despite his first contact with humans, he’s very trusting and affectionate. He’s not shy, scared or wary at all.

YouTube video (in Spanish with English subtitles) featuring Nogal at 2:56. You can see him with his kennel mates. Current location is in Spain can travel to the UK once he has a home to go to,
Vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, Neutered, Microchipped, Pet Passport, FREE 4 weeks Pet Insurance to be activated from the link on our website, Any known health issues NONE KNOWN.

For Dogs coming from Spain: This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering (if old enough), parasite treatment and transport to the UK. We can not home dogs from Spain to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough. Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.

Adoption Fee : £ 265 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account
