Noria – 2 year old female Ibizan Hound (Podenco) Cross

Noria is a 2 year old female Ibizan Hound (Podenco) Cross. Noria is a pretty small to medium tan and white young girl who is very good with other dogs of all sizes. She is good with cats and children and would be very happy in a young family home. Noria isn’t a pushy girl, she is gentle and calm and is a perfect “mother” to all the foster pups that come and go, now we figure its her turn to get a loving home. We just know Noria will turn out to be a lap dog as she just loves her cuddles. A wonderful placid girl who is now ready for her forever home. Noria was rescued in the summer from the streets in Spain where she was being pursued and bullied by male dogs. She was very thin, malnourished and dehydrated. Lucky Noria was rescued and and taken into a caring foster home.

Noria was taken to the vets to check her over. Her blood test showed a count of Leishmaniosis ( Sandfly bite) and treatment for this was started immediately. Now her bloods have been tested again and all are dramatically reduced and all good, liver and kidney functions perfect, she is very healthy, has been treated with glucatine for a leishmaniosis count of 1250 (most of which was probably stress as she was being bullied by dogs following her in the street) and she shows no effects. We make it clear to owners that dogs with Leishmaniosis need to be monitored to endure the levels do not rise again – they shouldn’t as she wont get bitten again in the UK and as long as she isn’t stressed the levels shouldn’t rise and she will be able to live a normal long healthy life.

Should the levels raise at all then simple treatment of 5 months of tablets will reduce it back down again and a pack of tables for a month is £2.50 so not an expensive treatment. Small to medium sized with a fine body and hardly any weight to her at all. She walks well on lead and loves being with other dogs and people. Current location is in a foster home in Spain can travel to the UK once she has a home to go to. Vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, Spayed, Microchipped, Pet Passport, 4 Weeks free Pet Insurance, Any known health issues NONE KNOWN just Leishmaniosis.

For Dogs coming from Spain: This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for European diseases, neutering, parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
