Norman – 11 month old male Yorkshire Terrier

Here we have gorgeous Norman. He is currently in the final stages of his assessment, so will be available for rehoming very soon! This Yorkshire Terrier boy is approximately 11 months old. He has not yet been assessed with children whilst being at Glendee however he has lived very happily with children in the past. He is very bouncy and does playfully mouth so may not be suitable for some children, especially younger children. Norman is currently living very happily in foster with 6 other dogs, however on a first meeting with another dog he does not know, he can be reactive and bark or growl in an attempt to get them to go away. He does, however, adore his foster brothers and sisters and will snuggle and play with them on a daily basis. He would love to live with another dog/s.

Any potential new homes must have calm, friendly, totally non-reactive dogs. If another dog barks or growls at Norman his fear escalates and his reactivity worsens. He needs only good experiences with other dogs to build his confidence. This reactivity can also be towards people he does not know, but as we are working on his confidence, this is improving! With this in mind, we are keen to place him with a family who are committed to his ongoing positive reinforcement training and socialisation. His ideal home would be with someone extremely loving that has a lot of time and patience to help him with his issues. He has not been cat tested however we believe he has lived with a cat in a previous home.
