Olga is an 8 year old white and brindle lurcher who is vaccinated and neutered. If any dog deserves a second chance its Olga. She was found by the police wondering the streets, tied by a skipping rope to Edgar. They were taken to a Veterinary Centre where the RSPCA were informed. It was decided that if the owners were ever found, they would be prosecuted for animal cruelty. Of course the owners never came forward to claim these dogs and Freshfields were asked to take them.
Olga was not in such a bad condition as Edgar when they were found. She was very thin and was suffering from various wound and skin problems. She seemed more bewildered than Edgar at first but soon become as happy as he was. Olga is still full of life despite her age. She tears around our field at great speed and loves to out run Edgar. She gets on well with everyone and loves to be fussed over and given attention.
Olga is a really lovely dog. She has been through so much in her life. She has a great deal to offer but will need some patience and understanding from her new home.
Olga isn’t very good with other dogs. She can behave badly when she sees another dog on a walk, whilst on the lead. We do feel that Olga would prefer to live without any other dogs.
She’d love to find out what a loving home is really like. It’s probable that Olga is an ex working dog and was sadly just ‘thrown away’ when she was no longer needed. Because of this she needs a home where there are no small animals.
