Ollie

Ollie is a young Terrier cross male looking for a new home. Ollie is one of two dogs kept in an unsuitable environment where the RSPCA had to be called in and the animals either seized or signed over to the society. The owner has elected to sign over Ollie and will, hopefully, do the same for the second animal to avoid legal action.

On sign over Ollie weighed 17kg, the vet felt a minimum of 21kg is what should be expected for a young animal. Until he is ‘normal’ his age cannot be accurately determined. He is neutered, wormed and flea treated and has had a full health check. Yet to be microchipped.

He is not good with cats but seems to be great with dogs, people, and probably children as well since he enjoys being petted and even allowed his nails to be trimmed without any fuss, rolling over to see the rear legs were properly attended to. He’s very clever and very affectionate. He obeys virtually all commands, goes down when told to, sits, stays, waits, virtually the lot. He’s been very well trained and is obedient. Until the situation changed in his previous home he was clearly loved and cared for by his owner.

He has, because of recent treatment, not been out much so so his house training needs a little brushing up and there is a need to re-introduce lots of exercise. Hopefully, both will be quickly resolved with our volunteer fosterer.
