Hi, my name is Oscar, I’m around 2 years old Labrador Cross and have flown to the UK to find my very own family. I love all humans and think I would make a family complete. I thoroughly enjoy life and can be boisterous so I prefer to be with older children as I find younger children fall over too easily if I bounce around them. My foster home had cats and I discovered that I am not a fan of sharing my home with them, so unfortunately I was moved into kennels. However, I have been able to completely wow the staff at the kennels as I am very sweet natured and know how to win humans over! I am housetrained and so much preferred living in a home to kennels. I just want to be with people and be part of a family.
I can walk on a lead but would benefit from further training. I would really enjoy more training with my new human(s) to provide me with reassurance and confidence to cope with my new life. I am friendly and curious. My new human(s) will need to give me time and help me by introducing me to calm dogs to help me build confidence and improve my socialisation skills. I would prefer to be the only dog in my new home.
I really don’t want to share my home with a cat and don’t know yet whether I will want to share with any smaller furry animals as I haven’t met any yet. I really would like to go to some dog training classes so I can learn lots of clever things and meet some other dogs; it might also help my confidence. It would also help me learn to trust my new humans. I just want to be the best of doggy companions for my new family. I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Oscar is a rescue from Cyprus who is now in Fareham, Hampshire and looking for a family to love him forever.
