Oscar is a 10 year old male Labrador Retriever. He is always happy, sweet natured and will always tell you he’s hungry! (He is ALWAYS hungry btw). Don’t let Oscars age put you off! He would love a home where he is kept active and he loves training so he would benefit from a home where he would be stimulated. He loves the company of both people and dogs. He loves his food and at the kennels is fed a raw diet to aid in his current weight loss program which is going well. He has been on a diet since being at the kennels and his weight would have to be monitored in a new home.
He has been healthy during his stay at the kennels. He is an older boy so attention to his joints and keeping him safe would be essential. He was diagnosed to have hip dysplacia in his last home, so we have him on Loxicom or metacam to keep him comfortable. He will need this for the rest of his life and his much needed weight loss will make things easier when he reaches his target! Located at Glendee Rescue, Hertfordshire.
Oscar has no major behavioural issues. He would benefit from training to help him settle into his new home, interactive training to keep his mind stimulated and a little loose lead walking.
This is our current assessment, the assessments are on-going as always, and although we temperament test our dogs in many situations, we can not know how they will be when they arrive in your home, support is given as always be given by the trainer you are matched to.
