OXY is a loving and gentle 6 year old boy who was rescued from the streets of Romania. He is a mixed breed dog – smaller than a collie but larger than a terrier. He is now in the UK in foster care in North-West England. His fosterer absolutely adores him but due to changes in her circumstances, she can sadly no longer keep him and so another home is URGENTLY needed for Oxy – ideally a happy ever after one which he so deserves or another loving foster home.
He lived on the streets near a high school in Bucharest where he was often badly beaten by the pupils, which is part and parcel of life for Romanian stray dogs. Oxy eventually ended up in the Mihailesti Public Shelter but fortunately was saved by his wonderful rescuer. Despite all this, Oxy has so much love to give. We humans have a lot to learn from dogs – they’re always able to forgive.
Oxy is unbelievably clean in the house and has never had an accident indoors. He loves kids of all ages. He gets on well with other dogs of all shapes and sizes. If another dog nips him, he does stick up for himself but as soon as his fosterer steps in he submits. He does chase cats but there is no aggression. He walks brilliantly on the lead and loves going for walks and if he had his way would be out every hour on the hour! In conclusion, Oxy is a true gem and I hope and pray someone who reads this will fall in love with him. Fully vaccinated and microchipped with full pet passport.
