Latest dogs looking for homes....

Poppy – 5 year old female Fell Terrier Cross

Poppy is a beautiful female tan and white 5 year old female Fell Terrier Cross. Poppy came to the centre as a stray so unfortunately we have no previous history about her. Poppy is wary of strangers initially (she is improving daily with this!!) but once she knows & trusts you she is your true friend for life!!!

Due to her nervousness of new people, the home we are seeking for this princess is a quiet home with children aged 16 & over who are calm, confident & used to dogs. Poppy strikes the perfect balance between lap dog & active go-getter terrier. She would prefer to be the only pet in the household so her new family can concentrate on her & her training.

Archie – 6 year old male Boston Terrier Cross

This handsome chap is Archie, he is a 6 year old male Boston Terrier Cross. Archie is incredibly affectionate & loving & enjoys doing plenty of exercise. He just loves being with people & having lots of attention. Archie is currently under assessment with other dogs, he would probably prefer to be the only dog in the household. He would prefer not to live with cats as he will chase them. He is ok to live with children aged 6 and older who are confident and used to dogs.

Archie is a very sensitive boy & is incredibly loyal.

Marley – 1 year old male Cross-Breed

Marley is a 1 year old male Cross-Breed with some hound and mastiff in him. Marley came to the centre as a stray so unfortunately we have no previous history if he has lived in a home or not. Marley would be best suited as an only dog although we would consider homing him with another dog, providing the home has sufficient experience with adolescent dogs.

He is suitable to live with “hands on” confident children aged 14 years and over who are used to handling dogs and are willing to participate in his training. Marley is super affectionate & loves a good back scratch. He will need to attend training classes on a regular basis as he needs to learn how to control his excitement with both dogs & people. He knows most basic commands but sometimes chooses to forget them just to test his handler!!

Lily and Poppy – 6 year old female Terrier Crosses

Lily and Poppy are 6 year old female Terrier Crosses who were found abandoned in park. They’re happy little girls who love each other. We are trying to home them together. Have you got the space in your heart and home for these little poppets?

Storm – 8 year old female Border Collie

Storm is a 8 year old Border Collie girl. She is lovely and always well behaved in every way. Can you offer her a forever home.

Mickey – 1 year old male Cross-Breed

Mickey is a happy little 1 year old male Cross-Breed who came in via the dog warden. He is lovable and bursting with happy energy!

Jake – 5 year old male German Shepherd Dog

Jake is a lovely 5 year old neutered German Shepherd Dog. Jake is being re-homed due to a marriage split. Jake is a very big powerful dog who would need to go to a home with GSD experience. Jake is currently living with a Staffordshire Bull Terrier with no problems, we feel that Jake could live with another laid back dog if carefully introduced. Jake is living with cats but owner says that he does not get on with strange cats outside the home. He is fine with women and children, although he can be a bit wary of men. Jake has not really been let of the lead much and will bark at other dogs when out, we think that this could be overcome with training.

Jake is currently living with the owners ex-wife, and she says that he doesn’t take a lot of notice of her when she gives him commands, she says that Jake basically was her husbands dog, and she really has not had much to do with Jake and his training. We are further assessing Jake, but if you can offer this lad a foster/permanent home please contact us. We will re-home Jake with older children only.

Jake – 6 1/2 month old male German Short-Haired Pointer

Jake is a 6 1/2 month old German Short-haired Pointer who was handed in by an older couple who had GSP’s all their life but felt that a puppy was too much for them now.

He is a wonderful lad who is full of energy so will need an owner who can provide plenty of exercise, stimulation and hopefully a “working” hobby for him. Jake is good with cats, kids and other dogs.

He is currently on foster in Plymouth but we re-home across the UK. He has been vaccinated, chipped and castrated.

Heidie – 1 year old female Ibizan Hound (Podenco)

Heidie is a stunning 1 year old Ibizan Hound (Podenco) from Spain, Heidie was found on the streets as a pup starving and she was in danger of being poisoned by the locals. We managed to rescue her and get her into foster home, until she was ready to travel to the UK and find her forever home.

Podencos are very common dogs out in Spain, commonly used for hunting, and treated terribly. However they make wonderful pets, and are loving and sweet natured full of personality. They love their home comforts and of-course also enjoy there walks.

She really wants to be loved, but she needs an understanding owner who will give her the time and confidence to become herself. She has a cheeky streak waiting to come out!

Heidie is full of character and just needs patience to help her discover her full potential, she is good with other dogs and loves playing and running outside, she can live with cats and dog savvy children.

Heidie is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and has a pet passport. This lovely girl is really beautiful and has a lot to give to the right family. She is currently being fostered in North London, please contact us for more info.

Toffee – 8 month old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Toffee is an 8 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier pup. Since being in her foster home she has come on in leaps and bounds.

She is now a fairly confident fun loving girl who has some mischievous ways! She is in a foster home with a very laid back male dog and would be ok to be homed with a dog of similar personality, she would not fit in with a boisterous ‘in your face’ type of dog. Toffee would be ok to be with children eight plus. She is a lovable girl and deserves a family of her own. She is in foster in Essex.
