Chas - 8 year old male Golden Retriever
Chas is an 8 year old Golden Retriever male. Sadly, his Dad died and he went to live with some family members. Unfortunately the family broke down and he was left with the daughter-in-law and her children, but she just couldn’t manage and hence Chas needs a home with a family who have the time and resources to care for him properly. Chas is house-trained, excellent on and off a lead and an ace traveller.
He is excellent with children and is used to living with little ones. He is brilliant with other dogs and he also seems happy with cats. Chas has only one hang-up: he is nervous of slippery floors i.e. tiled, lino or laminated ones. What this means is that he will hesitate to walk on them and when he does it’s like Bambi on the ice! We have no idea why he has this fear - at first we thought it was kitchens that worried him, but it seems it is the type of floor - maybe he slipped badly at some time in the past?
If you have these sort of floors non slip mats, strategically placed, will help him till he realises they are not about to turn into moving staircases.
Jasper - 8 year old male Lhasa Apso cross Shih Tzu
Jasper is 8 years old and we were told he was a Lhasa Apso cross Shih Tzu. His pet log forms say a Shih Tzu so you guess! He is a super chap and is with us because his owner is elderly and now needs residential care.
Jasper is house-trained, excellent in the car, good on and off a lead.He has been very good with the children he has met whilst with us, (8 years and upwards), and he loves other dogs.
Sadie - 4 year old female Collie cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Sadie is a 4 year old female Collie cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who has a really sweet nature and a big smile. She is basically a Collie in looks, but with the body size and shape of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. In additon she has the most fantastic big ears!
Sadie would be best as the only dog, but she would be fine with a family with children, as she came from a home where she was very good with the children there. Her thoughts on cats are unknown. Sadie has a lovely temperament and is a really loving little girl. She is house-trained, knows some basic commands and is very attentive.
A home within or close to the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area would be preferred.
Sheeba - 1 year old female German Shepherd Dog
Beautiful Sheeba is a 1 year old female German Shepherd, who has not really experienced anything outside her previous home and garden prior to rescue. She is now socialising with other dogs, but because of her lack of contact at the start of her life, it would probably be best for Sheeba to be the only dog in her new home.
She is learning what being on a lead and going on a walk means, and is now being introduced to the big world outside. Despite her limited experiences and young age, Sheeba is quite a calm lass, but would still need her new owners to be strong enough to handle this larger breed.
Although slightly wary at first, Sheeba is really enjoying some nice attention. Really all she needs is love!
A home within or close to the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area would be preferred.
Daisy - 16 week old female Labrador Cross
Daisy is a 16 week old, female Labrador cross. She is lovely young dog who came into the centre with her brother and sister. She can sometimes smile which is really sweet.
She is looking for a new home who can further her training and socializing as she is only a young dog.
Pongo - 7 year old male Cross-Breed
Pongo is a 7 year old cross-breed male who came into the Centre as his owners had to move into rented accommodation and couldn’t take dogs with them.
He is quite obedient but would need further training. He is a friendly boy once he gets to know you and we think he will be a loyal loving companion once he settles in his new home.
Marshall - 18 month old male German Shepherd cross Husky
Marshall is a German Shepherd cross Husky, he is a handsome intelligent lad aged approximately 18 months old. He is a lovely dog who has the endless energy of a Husky and will go on forever. Forget the dieting, give him a home!
Mona - 5 year old female Lurcher
Mona is a lovely, lively 5 year old female Lurcher. She is bouncy and enjoys going for nice long walks and playing with toys. She loves people and enjoys her creature comforts like most dogs of her breed do.

Bailey - 5 year old male Cross-Breed
Bailey is a mature 5 year old cross-breed. He is strong, fit, needs plenty of exercise and relates well with other dogs.
Winston - 4 month old male Pug Cross
Winston 4 month old, male Pug cross. He is a really lovely character, very friendly, and happy and loves human contact. We are not sure what he is like with other dogs or cats and he came into the centre as a stray and has not yet been mixed with other dogs.
He is looking for a new loving home where his owners can give him lots of cuddles and continue with his training as he is a young dog.
