Panda – 8 month old female Collie cross German Short-Haired Pointer

This is Panda, a very pretty Collie cross German Short-Haired Pointer female whom GSP Rescue offered to help rehome after hearing a sad story of a family not able to keep her due to a change of circumstances. She is only 8 months old and is vaccinated.

Her foster Mum has written:- She has been looked after and is in great health/condition, and is only a young dog ready to explore. She may not have seen much of the world so far, but is so keen to please and enjoying the freedom of running in the paddock. She is under-socialised, and so needs to meet more people and dogs, and we have lots of both here!

She is clean in the house, and knows sit, down, paw, here and no, and is very attentive and keen to learn more. Although she has obviously never walked much on a lead – but that is being addressed! She is just discovering the joys of chasing a ball in the paddock.

After a few days we will have a better idea of the type of home Panda needs, but she will be a superstar at agility when she’s a bit older. Whilst we have only had Panda with us a couple of days, already she is mixing calmly with a couple of dogs after careful introductions, and greeting her foster humans with a really enthusiastic wiggle and a waggle.

So if you feel you have the time and knowledge to help Panda come out of her shell, and develop her full potential, please contact me. At this time we think Panda would probably benefit from a home with an existing confident and well socialised dog to use as a role-model. Panda is being fostered in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
