Panos – 18 month old m ale Collie cross German Shepherd Dog

Panos is a male collie/German Shepherd cross breed of about 18 months old. He is medium sized, weighing around 18 kilos. He is healthy and fully vaccinated. Handsome Panos has lived at the shelter in Greece since he was just a young puppy of about 10 weeks, having been picked up as a stray with his brother just before Christmas 2009. He lives in a cage with his brother and two more adult dogs, a male and female, and he gets along with all dogs. He has so much energy, yet this poor boy is lucky if he is walked once or twice a week.

On a recent holiday in Greece, a UK dog rescue volunteer stopped by to say hello to Panos. Here’s what she said: “Walked Panos around and he is lovely. Really really friendly, loves his fuss. He was really excited when he was let out of the kennel to be walked. They have so many lovely dogs there that would be snapped up if they were in the UK. They were definitely full to bursting point though.”

A regular visitor to the shelter says this: “I know Panos well, and he is a most wonderful dog”.

It’s such a pity that this beautiful boy has waited for a family to adopt him for such a long time. Panos has now received his pet passport, is micro-chipped and castrated. He is completing his quarantine in Greece in the hope that he finds a home in the UK. The rescue will pay all the costs of transporting Panos to the UK in October. If he has no home offer then he will be fostered with one of our volunteers in the South East. It would be so much better for this handsome and playful boy to go straight to a loving family who will take care of him and love him forever as an equal member of their family.

If this family is you please contact us as soon as possible by e-mail to adoptions@friendsofanimals-nf.com, or telephone the rescue centre in Greece on 0030 694 4949741, or send an e-mail with your contact details to friendsofanimals-uk@live.co.uk and one of our volunteers will contact you.
