Patch – 15 month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Hello, my name is Patch, I am a fifteen month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I arrived at The Mayhew because my owner died. I am a very active and playful boy. I’m super friendly, wiggly and giggly, and I get along well with everyone I meet. I also get along well with other dogs, although I can be a little exuberant for some. I love going to the park, I travel well in the car and I have a good recall off my lead. I’m also toilet trained but it’s not yet known how long I cope being left on my own for. I’m now starting to learn the basic commands and manners, and I’m responding well. I love to play, my favorite toys are tennis balls. I also enjoy settling down with a stuffed kong or raw hide bone.

 

I am now looking for a forever home with an active person or family who have owned dogs before and have researched my breed type. I would happily live with sensible children from ten years of age and upwards providing they are used to being around bouncy dogs. I can live another dog providing we are the right match but I wouldn’t be suitable to live with cats. My new owners will be expected to take me to training classes and provide me with a minimum of one hour of active off lead exercise every day. If you’re interested in adopting me you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog, you will be taking on a fourteen year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.

No appointment is neccessary for these times but there will be a waiting period, particularly on Tuesdays and Fridays when we tend to have more visitors.
