Patch – 7-8 year old male Springer cross Collie

Patch is a 7-8 year old male Springer cross Collie. Patch is a wonderfully jolly Sringer cross Collie. He is playful, interactive and happy! Patch is a very loving dog and is happiest when snuggling on the sofa with his human. He loves belly rubbles. Patch really enjoys being out for walks in the country side. He loves investigating all the different smells and having a good dart around the trees. He does wander off sometimes, so best to keep a keen eye on him or he will get lost. He will chase wildlife, especially deer.

Patch is quite indifferent to other dogs; he will permit the mandatory bum-sniff, then he hill walk on. He does live with other dogs at the moment, and there have been no issues, but I wouldn’t say that living with another dog is mandatory. Patch has interacted well with other dog walkers, both male and female, and will often approach them to be strokes. Patch is well trained- excellent on the lead, knows the basic command and has a good recall. Patch is house-trained. He likes to sleep on the bed within touching distance of his human. He doesn’t like to be left for more than a few hours. He will bark at strange noises. He is fascinated by the cats, but intimidates them as he likes to get really close and follow them everywhere while whining – very confident cats only! Patches has been okay around children but not properly tested so teenage plus please.

Patch is terrified of the vets. He has required sedation for his vaccinations and health check. However, I do feel that, with time and a good vet, this fear could be overcome. He also has an old untreated possible crucial injury which can cause him some discomfort after a long walk. This is something that will need to be dealt with in his new homed once his fear of the vet has improved. We will of course offer any assistance with this including financial. All in all, Patch is a loyal, loving and happy boy. He just wants to be loved and he will give everything back.

Patch is in foster in Aylesbury and he is neutered, chipped, vaccinated, wormed and flead. Adoption is subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption donation of £200. Applications via forms section of website please.
