Patch – 2 year old male Fox Terrier Cross

Hello, my name is Patch, I’m a 2 year old, male Fox Terrier Cross. I arrived at The Mayhew after being found abandoned on the streets of London.

I’m a sweet natured boy. I greet everyone with a waggy tail and I like to roll over to have my tummy stroked. I love nothing more than sitting with one of my carers while they shower with me affection. I’m good with children but I’ve not yet been tested with little ones, so for now I’d like to find a home where any children in the household are over six years of age. I get along well with most dogs but I can be dominant towards some, however now I’ve been neutered I’m starting to relax around dogs I’ve not met before. I would be happy to live with another dog providing our introductions went well.

I love to play and I enjoy my walks, my guardians will be expected to give me a minimum of one hour of off lead exercise daily in a park or open space. It’s not yet known how long I can be left on my own for, so at the moment I’m looking for a home where someone is around for most of the day. Someone who has owned dogs before and has researched my breed type. Due to my young age they will be expected to take me to training classes, which I know I’ll enjoy as I’m a smart boy and I’m eager to please. My new guardians will be taking on a twelve year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.

I hope to see you soon, Patch
