Penny and Tuppence – male and female Border Collie cross Jack Russell Terriers

This is Penny and Tuppence. Penny is a Border Collie cross Jack Russell and was found in a garden after being caught in a snare. Her back leg was just hanging off by a thread and so it was decided that the entire leg needed to be removed, but what was worst was that she was in labor.

She gave birth to five puppies in someone’s back garden, but sadly four had died by the time she was rescued and then immediately that she was found, she had to go under general anesthetic to have her leg removed which was full of gangrene.

As she woke up she started looking for her puppies…she hadn’t forgotten but there was only one that could be returned to her and once reunited with her baby quite happily settled down and started the healing process as well as bringing up a puppy.

Penny will be spayed on arrival (when Tuppence is old enough to travel) and then we will be looking for a home for them together meaning that the new owner will need to get little pup castrateed at 5 months old.

Penny

Penny is sociable with other dogs and is fine with cats. These dogs could go to live with older children, but youngsters may be a bit excitable for them.

I will be looking for a Border Collie experienced home as Tuppence – 3/4 Border Collie – will need good training as he grows. Penny is an extremely sweet natured girl.
