Percy is a 3 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Percy needs a supportive family who can support him as he regains confidence, weight and learns to become central to his new family unit. Percy can get concerned around dogs but builds friendship with those he trusts. Impoverished background of severe neglect, so Percy needs a rescue minded family who will build his confidence outside, ideally in low dog areas and his own private secure garden.
He was found stray/abandoned in a severe state of neglect and unclaimed within a council pound. We stepped forwards to offer a Rescue place and save Percy’s life. Percy has now been neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated. Percy is currently in boarding kennels in Guildford.
Perfection? Well once Percy has a chance to meet a family who walk with him and build him up again from the broken fragments we found him in. Percy is housetrained within his house and in fact needs encouragement to use his garden, he tends to save for his walks. He appears happy outside but actually is on edge with encounters with dogs and currently it is best to avoid contact due to Percy’s lack of confidence. Travels well; Excellent with all ages; unproven with young children so supervision with visiting children only. Percy doesn’t like to be closed off within the home during the day but happily sleeps down stairs at night.
Percy is around 3 years old, white with black spots, dots and patches. Stafford with an excellent and very endearing head. His coat is improving but will only come back to health once beyond the stress of kennel life. Receptive to people and welcomes people into his kennel and foster homes. His fear is around dog and this may be temporary due to his period of being stray in early December. Are you in Percy suit? If you love Staffordshire Bull Terriers Percy is wonderful.
