Petra – 1 year old female Collie Cross
Petra is a 1 year old Border Collie cross, neutered female. She is affectionate and loves a cuddle. She has lots of energy and needs plenty of exercise, she gets very excited at the start of her walk but settles down.
She came to the rescue very fearful of men and under socialised but she has improved enormously gaining confidence walking around the village quite happily with another rescue dog and the male volunteers. She can still be nervous and timid around strangers and if she is frightened she barks and shows her teeth in defence. Please don’t be put of by this as she is very loving and intelligent but needs an understanding owner who can train her and give firm but kind handling. She is a real sweetheart who wants to be loved.
