Pico – 2-3 year old male Lurcher

Pico is a 2-3 year old Lurcher lad who had been found straying. Pico is fabulous with people and children and has been wonderful with all the dogs he has met this far from medium sized to large sighthound. However, we must stress that Pico is very keen and would need more socialisation around smaller dogs. He is definitely not cat or small furry friendly. Pico also has an amazing leg reach with the potential to be a jumper so a very secure garden and close supervision in the garden to begin with would be necessary.

Pico walks well on the lead and just have a couple of instances where he may play bow or spin when meeting another dog but he really does just want to play. He has the air of a Podenco; not only does he have the most fabulous ears that stay permanently up but when he approaches another dog to play he tends to use his paw a lot to tap them, he also has a very strong hunt instinct.

It needs to be noted that Pico is unlikely to ever be trustworthy off lead so will need plenty of exercise and stimulation, as he is such a playful boy he will need a garden to run around in. Pico is neutered, has been microchipped and has started his vaccinations and has been KC vaccinated.

Pico is still in the kennels but we are inviting applications to rehome Pico and are happy to do it on a foster with view to keep basis with full support and back up from Greyhound Gap. This big proud handsome boy is going to be a wonderful addition to any family home with sighthound experience. Pico is currently in kennels in Staffordshire.
