Pip is a 2 year old small male Pekingese cross. Pip was rescued after being taken by the dog catchers and thrown into the public shelter. Life in the public shelter is hard enough for any dog but for a dog as tiny as Pip it is even more difficult and very dangerous as they’re at risk of being killed by the bigger dogs, Pip is a survivor and the most amazing dog you could ever imagine to meet. After being rescued and as if his luck could get any worse Pip was unfortunate to catch distemper, if not for the dedication and love of his rescuer his chances of surviving would have been very slim and after months of treatment, he survived and with no ill affect of his illness Pip is now loving life in his foster home in the UK. Here is what his fosterer has to say.
Pip is the perfect gentleman, he is just over 2 years old and is a calm confident balanced dog who takes everything life throws at him in his stride. Not much if anything fazes Pip. He walks beautifully on the lead and loves to walk and roll in the grass. He is clean in the house and will happily sit by your side quietly and enthusiastically come when called. Pip gets on well with other dogs but can be a little bossy like all Pekis! He responds well when told calmly but firmly no. He is bright and learns fast and loves to play with his foster brother. He is a gentle boy with a little streak of cheeky and will pounce on you for a play or a cuddle.
Pip is a small but very handsome dog and would suit most homes, but preferably one with older children due to his size. Considering his background and life in Romania, it is amazing he such a happy grounded little boy. He will undoubtedly bring a lot of joy to his family.
