Pippa is a 5 month old female Cross-Breed. Born in August 2016, Pippa will be a medium-sized female dog with a medium coat. She is currently in the care of RSDR waiting for someone to offer her a loving home. On 20 November 2016 a man brought Pippa to the shelter and said she had been hit by a car. She appeared to be paralysed so we suspected her back was broken. We quickly took her to the vets who confirmed that her back was broken.
Pippa has a wheelchair that was donated for her. The vets in Bulgaria are unable to do anything with any surgery. They have said there might have been a specialist who might have attempted to operate to remove pressure from the nerve but it would have had to have been done within a certain time frame which wasn’t possible. One we didn’t know when her back was broken and two she was too ill to operate when she arrived.
If Pippa is adopted, her adopters need to be prepared that she may be a disabled dog always, and nothing may be done for her with surgery. She is an affectionate and loving girl and will make a wonderful addition to any family. She has been vaccinated, micro-chipped, treated for fleas and worms and comes with her own pet passport.
