Polly is a 12-18 month old female Poodle Cross. Polly is a gorgeous happy girl who has come in as an unclaimed stray. She is very young and inquisitive, very energetic and lots of fun. She would like new owners who are around for most of the day. Polly would be best rehomed without cats or small furries please, any children would need to be older though as we have no previous history for her sadly. Polly functions well in a household with other dogs, she has been happy in their company and also content to chill out by herself.
When she arrived she had a large umbilical hernia which has been repaired successfully. She does lack training and would benefit from attending some training classes as she is a very smart little girl. She may even enjoy agility?
Polly struggled with the cat’s in her fosters household initially but has really come on a long way during her stay – a sign of her ability to quickly learn new skills. She has also become much more relaxed in general – really enjoys her walks and training/games.
Polly is not great with other dogs and as a precaution is walked in a muzzle – but she is much improved in just the last month – able to see other dogs and recall for a treat without any fuss. Polly will need to be exposed to dog group classes to help her with her social skills. She needs an energetic home where her mind will be stimulated. This girl loves to learn and has so much potential.
Polly travelled well in the car and was quite happy to watch out the window on the journey. She will make a great addition for a poodle loving energetic family. She has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. Polly is currently on foster in Luton Bedfordshire.
