Polo – 5 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Polo is a lovely Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross boy aged approximately 5 years old. This is a special appeal for a very special boy who has been in kennels for over 2 years. Polo is staying at boarding kennels at the cost of Animal Aid 1990, where he has been for over 2 long years now! When Polo first came to us in 2008 no one had any idea that the quest to find him a loving and secure home would go on to span over 2 years! We have a very strict non destruct policy and therefore any dog admitted to us we promise to rehome, however long that may take. We visit Polo every week to take him for a walk – usually to the beach, which he adores! We also take him some nice tasty treats, including steak!
But this will never substitute Polo finding his forever home and it breaks our hearts to have to put him back in his kennel after every visit. Polo is practically a prisoner and everyday he must wonder what he has done wrong, he is just longing to break free of kennel life and to be loved again.
Polo is such a good boy, he is fool proof with people and is actually very obedient for a dog that has lived such a sheltered life. We are all amazed that his spirit and loving nature hasn’t been affected over the time he has spent in kennels and he still manages to flash a smile for the camera! He will sit and give you his paw and he loves to have a fuss made of him.
However Polo has a strong dislike towards other dogs, and we realise that this may be the reason he is still with us.
But i can assure you, with the right owner Polo will come on in leaps and bounds. He will need an experienced owner who is willing to keep him on a lead at all times, while also wearing a muzzel. Polo could live with children over 8.
Polo has been neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped, all he needs now is his forever home! Can you be the one to change Polo’s life forever? We can promise you that no dog would love and appreciate you more than Polo!
