Potter – 4 1/2 month old male Cross-Breed

Potter is a very handsome pale fawn crossbreed boy. He was found tied up and abandoned locally, and we think that he is only about 4 1/2 months old. He has just moved into foster and is settling in very well. As a youngster he will need an experienced home, who will continue with his training and socialisation; and would preferably be placed with another dog to show him the way as he was probably taken from his mum too early. He is currently sharing his temporary home with an elderley dachshund, a young whippet/terrier cross, 2 guinea pigs and children aged 10 & 11.

His foster mum says he may well be the perfect puppy! He has been out and about in the woods, fields & park, and he meets and greats everyone (human & canine) wonderfully. Not too bouncy or OTT just interested to say hello. His recall has been 100% on both the flexi & long line – even coming away from other dogs when called. Other than an initial ‘walkies’ excitement, he doesn’t really pull on the lead either. He sits nicely when asked and is quiet in the car when travelling. Potter loves to be with people – lapping up kisses, cuddles & belly rubs, but actually isn’t too mouthy for such a young boy.

Potter still has that wonderful dopey, puppy clumsiness that makes him very endearing. We are not really sure of his parentage, but it looks like he will be a large boy judging by his current weight and the size of his feet! It would be lovely for Potter to find his forever home sooner rather than later, so that he can settle down and his new family don’t miss out on his early development.
