Princeton – 2 year old male Collie Cross
Princeton is a 2 year old Collie cross that is urgently needing a new home! He came to the centre as a stray, and from day one he didn’t cope in kennels at all – he is too intelligent for being here. He is a sweetie that loves nothing more than to have a cuddle. He is a typical Collie in that he is obsessed by the ball, so this could be used to teach him fly ball or agility, and this will help keep him mentally and physically stimulated. One of our carers has taken him home for the night, and said he is a lot calmer when away from kennels and very affectionate.
In the kennel environment he is too stressed and cannot share his kennel with other dogs, but he will socialise out and about on ‘free-runs’. He can live with a confident cat that will tell him off as he will chase them unless told not too! Princeton loves his food and will do anything for it, so training should be easy and fun. Princeton does have a strong chase instinct – will chase passing cars, so a countryside location is ideal for him. Princeton has been castrated, fully vaccinated and micro chipped.
