Pumpkin is a 5-year old ex-breeding Bichon Frise girl who is being fostered in Bristol. She loves other dogs and will only be rehomed with another frirendly dog. For an ex-breeding girl, Pumpkin is unusually sociable with adults. She can be a little wary of men though so patience will be needed to win her over. She has met teenagers and an eight-year old child, where she was happy enough in their company. We feel that she will be fine with older children of 8 years and above.
Pumpkin loves to be with other dogs and will cuddle up with them. She greets other dogs out on walks and we will only rehome here where there is another friendly dog to keep her company. She is happy to live with cats in her foster home and just ignores them. Pumpkin is great in the home and copes with noises and the general business of family comings and goings. She doesn’t like to be left though and will howl.
Pumpkin walks well on the lead and doesn’t pull. She is learning commands and does enjoy both long and short talks. She is fine travelling in the car and is well behaved at the vets. A home with children over 8 years old, with another dog to keep her company is a must. We think she needs someone at home for most of the day due to her anxieties around being left so would be no good for someone who works a lot. Pumpkin needs regular walks, plenty of patience to build her confidence and cuddles aplenty!
Pumpkin is spayed, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet Pumpkin in her foster home in Bristol.
If you are interested in adopting Pumpkin please read about our rehoming process and complete a Pre-Adoption form ( link here ) and one of our adoption coordinators will contact you for a chat.
