Queen Of Sheba – 1 year old female German Shepherd Dog Cross

Queen of Sheba is a 1 year old, small German Shepherd Dog cross who loves people, she has a wonderful nature and is very affectionate. Although she has lived with children aged 10 months and 4 years, she can be very active at times so we would prefer to rehome her with older teenagers. She doesn’t jump up and is well behaved in the house, she is quiet and housetrained and doesn’t chew. Queen of Sheba is very dog friendly and is being fostered in a house with a pack of 8 dogs and loves them all.

She is slightly shy when she first meets dogs and would benefit from further socialisation with dogs to build her confidence, but she never shows any aggression. Queen of Sheba is being fostered on a small holding, she is allowed to run loose and never runs away but stays around the house and frequently returns to see what I am doing. She does not chase the free range hens or bother the horses. She is intelligent and sensitive, she wants to please but has never been given the time and consistent training she needs so she will need a lot of work to get her fully obedient. We strongly recommend professional training for her.

She is very strong on the lead so is walked on a kind head collar to reduce her pulling. She is good off lead and comes when called. It would be great for her to do something active such as dog agility and obedience classes, she needs a lot of exercise and would not suit full time workers. She must be kept indoors and if there is a garden the fencing must be secure and high or she may escape. Preference will be given to owners who have had experience of big dogs. Also this dog would not suit first time owners. This really is a lovely dog who will make a super family pet if given what she needs.
