Rab – 5 year old male Greyhound

As you can see Rab is as cute as a button. He is a 5 year old, fun loving Greyhound lad, he is a sweet natured dog. He had been living in a filthy shed and seems pleased to be in more open surroundings now. Rab has a shy streak in him, he wants to trust but it may take him a while, he is quite unsure of himself but is not a nervous dog.

He has been great with all the kids who have visited the kennels and seems to have a natural affinity with them. He would make a great family pet in a house with kids say 6 years or older. We are currently working with Rab, giving him more exposure to other dogs.

His instinct is strong and he will need an experienced Greyhound owner who is happy to work with him when he sees things moving outside. Training will make this more manageable with someone who has the time, commitment and experience to give him. He has responded well so far on his ‘doggy day out’ trips and is very mannerable when meeting other dogs, he is very responsive to your voice and knows what ‘NO’ means.

He has been spotless in his kennel from the minute he arrived and is an easy lad to look after. He is smaller than your average greyhound. He is not small dog safe or cat safe. He is neutered and vaccinated.

Can you offer him an home and understand he is a victim of his training and upbringing, like so many of these wonderful dogs.
