Rascal – 12 month old male Saluki cross Whippet

Rascal is a 12 month old saluki cross whippet lad. He is a beautiful boy who is currently in foster in the West Midlands with a female staffie who he gets on well with. Out and about Rascal gets on well with all dogs BUT does need more socialisation, he can be vocal and pulls to get to say hello to dogs so this needs someone committed to working with it and he would benefit from basic training classes, there is no aggression just silly little boy over enthusiasm and he is fine once he gets to say hello to a dog and on the next walk if he meets them again remembers them and doesn’t act silly. His recall will need working with and at the moment he isn’t able to go off lead as he goes off to say hello to other dogs and gets himself lost but he is still only a baby!

Rascal is housetrained and good to be left for a couple of hours with the company of another dog, as he has always been with his Sister we think he would prefer to have a dog companion. When Rascal and Cassie first landed with us they were very poor travellers as they had NEVER been in a car, now though already after just a week in foster and lots of short journeys this is already improving so we can see that once he gets use to travelling he will be fine.

Rascal is good with children and would be fine to be rehomed with dog sensible children aged 6 plus.

He is an absolute love bucket and is typically whippety in that he loves nothing better than to snuggle up to you and snuggle down under the duvet with you if given the chance. Rascal is only little standing around 23 inches and is quite a slender boy. Someone is going to have a fabulous addition with this lad with a bit of training.

Rascal is vaccinated, kennel cough vaccinated, treated for parasites, microchipped and is castrated.
