Ray – 6 year old male Husky cross German Shepherd DOg

Ray is male Husky cross Makamute cross Gerrman Shepherd of 6 years a good character, but requires a lot of attention and time. He does moult and you’ll be needing a good vacuum cleaner. He’s a great companion, and ideally we’re looking for a couple who live outside of city with lots of space and time. Also be aware that you might need to take him to dog training classes, so you will get used to and understand one another. He walks on a halti because of his strength if he pulls although not keen on it. He’s a wonderful family dog- beautiful, friendly and protective, 40 kg.

He wants a confident experienced owner to give him boundaries. He is fine with large dogs esp females but not keen on the small ones yapping round his heels. He is off lead to play when he meets the right dogs for him. With strangers he is initially reserved until they sit down and become part of the family. He then approaches for a stroke.

His family felt they were unable after six years with him to continue giving him the time he needs. Shame but we hope to find him the perfect home. He is a real eye catching dog with so much to give. He had been brought up with small children, the toddler of two years took to sitting in him while he was lying down. Not suggesting we do this, just as a reference point. They have always allowed other respectful children to approach him.
