Rebel – 2 year old male Border Collie

Rebel is a charming 2 year old Border Collie dog in need of an owner who can be committed to his on going training. He is very typical of his breed and has many Collie traits and need’s help to control his excitement especially in new environments. With committed owners focused on his on-going training, given time he will be a dog that will give back the love he is shown, ten times over and will be a joy to own. He is very bright and intelligent and is always a step ahead of you. Rebel is a very clever dog and builds relationships with new people very quickly.

Once he has this bond with you, he will be engaged very quickly and his training will come along brilliantly. Rebel arrived at the Dogs trust as his owners could no longer care for him, having lived outside before his new owners will have to dedicate time to settling him into a home especially housetraining and coping being left alone. He is a very typical Collie and will focus on things and chase objects, this behaviour will have to be carefully managed and the training must focus on not encouraging this and drawing his attention onto other things. His trainers have been working hard and Rebel’s response has been fantastic, showing off what a clever boy he is! He does enjoy the company of other dogs, yet introductions to new dogs must be slow and gradual. He loves his toys and enjoys playing games with his handlers.
