Robin – 6 month old male Yorkshire Terrier Cross

Robin is a 6 month old Yorkshire Terrier cross who is being fostered in South Wales. He is a clever boy and listens to commands. He loves a cuddle and a good tickle but he also seems happy entertaining himself with some toys. He does enjoy watching the television! Robin is wonderfully confident, a happy little chap – always wagging his tail.

Robin loves people of all shapes and sizes. Robin is happy and pleased to meet anyone!

Robin is still a pup and, although he currently shows signs of jealousy, he should be able to be socialised with other dogs. He does live with a dog at the moment but this dog is submissive. Any existing dogs in the home will need to put Robin in his place when he oversteps the mark. He can’t live with cats.

As Robin is a puppy he will need all of the general training but in the short time he has been in his foster home he has started to learn. He knows “no”, he just needs reminding what is right and wrong. He is 90% housetrained but will need reminding until he gets the hang of the routines in his new home.

Robin is quite happy on the lead, he pulls a little like a typical puppy but he is very manageable. In a short time he will be walking like a dream.

Robin would be better in a cat/small animal free home, ideally as an only pet as he does show jealous tendencies. He is still young and would probably be trained out of it with an experienced owner and confident dog but Robin would be more than happy being an only pet. He is not suitable to be rehomed with full time workers.

Robin is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in Newport.

If you are interested in adopting Robin please read about his rescue’s rehoming process and complete a Pre-Adoption form (link here) and one of their adoption coordinators will contact you for a chat.
