Rocko – 3 year old male Lhasa Apso
Rocko is a 3 year old Lhasa Apso and a complex little guy, he will need an experienced dog owner home willing to understand his little ways , and someone who is home all of the day. Rocko hates to be left and even when left with another dog after a short while he will howl and screech.

Rocko when you understand him is the most loving , cuddly little dog , but he is quite a grumpy young man and can be growly , although sometimes his growliness is in play! We feel Rocko would be only suited with a home with children over 10 and who understand dogs and when they need to be left alone .
He is very picky over his doggy friends , but loves to play with those he likes, unfortunately during play he is growly and some dogs dont understand him. He has small dog syndrome when it comes to large dogs , which can get him into trouble , in his previous home he was bitten by one of their dogs and that was why he was initially rehomed to the home that he then came to me from , i can totally see why this happened as he thinks he is huge and can take on anyone!
Rocko has some muscle wastage in his back end , the vets think this may be because he was crated for long periods in his initial home , and feels with exercise he should build this back up. Rocko loves his walks and is very inquisitive , sniffing everything so walks take quite a while! He is not a lap dog for an older person, and is very active.
His house training is good and he will let you know when he needs to go out , but when he goes out he sometimes gets distracted and will come back in too soon , resulting in an accident , he hasnt wee’d in the house apart from when he first arrived and that was just initial marking.
I will be very strict on the home he goes to, as he has had a lot of change recently, and he really does need someone who understands dogs like him. He is on foster in Aberystwyth, West Wales.
