Rocky – 2 year old male Jack Russell Terrier

Rocky is a lovely, rough-coated, short-legged 2 year old male Jack Russell Terrier. Rocky is an adorable lad. I am not exactly sure why he has come in to be rehomed as the story varied a little, but one reason seems to have been mentioned in every conversation: “we dont really want him anymore”. I was told that he had been taken on from a family member at first, but subsequent conversations suggested he had been in the house for a considerable time.

It was also mentioned that the other dog – a Springer Spaniel bitch – didn’t like him. Poor Rocky was being shut out on his own, in a run, all day while they were at work and only allowed into the house in the evenings. He didn’t have a bed as he chewed them up, so just slept on the kitchen floor.

Rocky has always been very clean indoors I am told and he has been fantastic here, so think that is correct. Apparently he doesn’t like sitting on your lap which is funny as he does a lot of that here! He has always been great with other dogs, but is on the submissive side if confronted and tries to avoid any major conflict by retreating fast! Rocky is fine with children, but has not been with toddlers.
