This is Rolfy. He is almost a year old and needs a forever home. Rolfy is a big pup and his foster family are saying he is calming and making great improvements. He loves people and other dogs. Rolfy is fine with cats. He is rather large and being a very boisterous puppy would suit older children as he has no idea of his size and strength. Like most rescues, Rolfy has anxiety. He will sometimes bark and chew when left, so a home with another calm dog is ideal. An understanding owner willing to put the time and effort in can resolve this issue.
He is not food aggressive but if he finds something he feels is a tasty morsel, like when he raids the bin, he will become possessive over it. This is due to being abandoned and starved. Again this can be overcome with patience and training. Rolfy likes to suck on a blanket. This is a classic sign on a dog who was ripped from his mother before being weaned. He does have hip dysplasia and has been assessed by our vet. As of right now, Rolfy requires no treatment and is being monitored. Should this change, Yappy will cover the costs of his hips.
Rolfy is a cheeky happy chap that deserves a forever home. Can you open your heart to Rolfy? Rolfy has been in his foster home for a very long time now and that is not fair for him.
