Rooney – 14 month old male Collie cross German Shepherd

Rooney is a 14 month old male Collie cross German Shepherd who came into the RSPCA because his owner could no longer look after him.  Unfortunately we did home Rooney a couple of months ago but he has returned, the lady has said she could not cope with him, Rooney is full of energy, he needs someone who can give him the exercise he needs, he also needs someone who is experienced who can be firm with Rooney but also kind, he is quite unsure of himself I feel, the man of the house really loved this dog and could handle him quite easy he was firm but fair and thats what Rooney needs, the lady was not confident enough to deal with him, he is so young he can easily been turned round.

Rooney is a very lovely boy but a bit unsure of world which is to be expected, he is very friendly and bouncy and would benefit from training and someone who has the time to give him this… Because he is so bouncy at the moment it would be best not to home him with young children as he could knock them over…

Rooney needs a proper home with love and routine, something that has been missing from the upside down life he has lived, he is a lovely boy who is a bit confused by it all at the moment. He is still younger enough to forget it all and make a fab companion – Could you be his new family???   Please email in the first instance the type of life style you can offer this lovely dog.

If you are interested in rehoming Rooney, please email at theminnicans@dsl.pipex.com to give us as much information as possible about the type of life style you can offer this lovely girl please. Minimum donation required.
