Rooney and Barney – 3 and 5 year old male Lhasa Apsos
Rooney and Barney are two Lhasa Apsos aged 3 and 5 years old who must be rehomed together. They are very friendly, sweet dogs but get jealous so must be the only animals in the home. They can be strong willed and want their own way, and do not tolerate teasing, so for this reason, although they are good with children, we prefer to rehome with over 12 years old.
These dogs will need regular exercise, both walk well on the lead and have good recall off lead. They are good in the house, and good guard dogs. Owners must factor into the decision the cost of keeping them regularly trimmed and groomed at the dog parlour. They naturally have a long coat but have been clipped by the rescue as their fur was badly neglected and matted on arrival.
Also the neglect they suffered includes starvation, they are very under weight. Vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, they are currently too underweight to be neutered but this will be done once they have vet approval for the operation. We are looking for a very caring home for these two and a much better life ahead.
