Rory is a 18 month old male Terrier Cross. Rory arrived at his adoption home in September 2016 but sadly the existing dog was not comfortable with his presence being a lot smaller than Rory. Rory is now with a wonderful foster family and has settled happily with their confident dog residents and is enjoying his life.
His story before rescue: Friendly boy Rory had several lucky escapes from the dog catchers that have increased their patrols of the Balkan streets. Being caught by the dog catchers means being taken without mercy to the local kill centres and most are quickly euthanised by extreme measures and in the short time they are there, they are lucky if they even fed adequate food, remain unharmed by fighting in overcrowded unsanitary cages whilst they wait for that dreadful day.
Rory was rescued at about 18 months of age in April 2016 and and is a small fluffy coated boy with some terrier mix in his breed, he is a playful character who has not let what looks like a distemper recovery from his puppy-hood affect his nature or his lust for life and cuddles with people whenever he can. In kennels and his foster home he joined in with other dogs running and playing and his mild tics in his right leg does not hold him back. To the best of our knowledge Rory has been good around confident cats.
