Rose and Oscar are 2 beautiful 4 year old Yorkshire Terriers. They came into our care from the inspectors and we were given virtually no information about their background. They were part of a group of 22 Yorkshire Terriers that were signed over due to having too many dogs living in unsuitable conditions. They were in kennels initially but due to their shy nature, we felt they would benefit being in foster and they were therefore moved about 3 weeks ago. Both these dogs have made great progress since being in foster. Rose is much more confident than Oscar but even he has come out of his shell slowly but surely. They are very affectionate and love to spend time sitting next to the foster parents for tummy tickles. They have lovely characters ,are not noisy and hardly ever bark. They are well behaved in the home and are not destructive .
For reasons unknown, they are very timid and dislike sudden noises/movements. They love playing in the garden but are not confident or happy to go for walks yet. They are fine having a shower and really like being groomed on a daily basis. They are almost housetrained but they do use training pads when necessary just as a precaution. Rose and Oscar are inseparable. They do everything together and rely on each other for reassurance when they feel stressed. For this reason we are looking to rehome them together. They would thrive in a quiet environment and so we are looking to rehome them in an adult only household as children would be too boisterous for them.
Rose and Oscar would make truly loving companions but their new adopters must be prepared to give them time, patience and lots of love to slowly build their confidence up.
