This is Rosie, a 22 month old Labrador cross Collie who has come into our care from a home in which she lived with another dog called Luna. Luna has also come into our care. Rosie feels safe with us now after getting to know us but unfortunately for her she does get stressed and anxious around strangers and doesn’t show herself very well.
We do have some history on this young girl but it is still unclear why her temperament changes around strangers, however what we do know is with slow and friendly introductions she will be very happy to make a new human friend, especially if you have some tasty treats. It’s such a shame that Rosie let’s her anxiety get the better of her because when you get to know her she is a lovely dog who just wants to run and play and have fun. She has the basic training and will come back from the end of her extending lead when called.
We would only re home Rosie in a dog experienced home with no children, no other dogs or pets and with an owner/s that can make a real difference to Rosie’s mind set by giving her the love, reasurance and guidance she needs.
