Roxi is a 6-7 month old female Cross-Breed. Roxi is an extremely kind and gentle, soft natured girl. She is a mixed breed dog and only a medium size. She has a very soft cream/apricot coloured curly coat which will be low shedding and although loves her walks in the muddy fields, she always seems to remain clean. What a star! Roxi is a very kind natured dog and gentle in her ways. She is affectionate and loving and will make a super companion. She enjoys her walks and is off lead, never going far from her foster mum’s side, although she is becoming more inquisitive as she gets more confident. She loves to have a game of chase with another young and enthusiastic dog and will often instigate a game if the other dog is up for a game of chase. Roxi is learning what the good life is all about and taking it all in her stride. Roxi has come a long way in a short time though, and you would not believe that her story has changed so dramatically.
Not so long ago she would not even walk and have to be encouraged to take just a few steps. With the encouragement of another little foster dog, Roxi soon learnt to play though and come to terms with her new loving life and realise that there is nothing to be frightened of any more. Roxi with Mickey, who shared his life with her in foster, (recently homed) and showed Roxi how to have fun! Roxi is still learning about different situations and as long as you let her work things out and let her take her time over it she can cope. She has an amazing temperament and is very trusting and loving towards people. Her ability to want to please you is very strong and she is treat orientated. She has learnt to sit and come back when you call her. Her confidence still needs to be built up, but we are hoping that a lovely kind and gentle home will come along for Roxi who will be patient with her and give her lots of love to give her the life she now so deserves.
Roxi would love another confident resident doggy companion to share her life with. Either a young playful dog or an older one to show her the ropes. She still needs her rules and boundaries in the home to give her guidance, and daily exercise is important for Roxi to be able explore the wider world and help her relax and enjoy her free time running over some fields. Roxi is well behaved in the home and is very calm and relaxed. She can be left for short periods of time with no problem at all and travels well in the car. She sleeps well at night. Once Roxi has settled further basic command training would be useful and help Roxi become a well balanced and rounded dog. She is a real pleasure to have and her foster mum absolutely adores her.
Roxi is starting to play with toys too now, which is lovely to see as she is still a puppy herself, even though she comes across as a mature and calm dog. The photos just don’t do her justice, but everyone who meets her falls in love with her. Roxi is vaccinated, micro-chipped, spayed, wormed and flea treated.
Roxi is currently in foster in Roydon, Essex. We are looking to home her in or around this area or neighbouring counties as a home check will be done, although further afield may be possible for the right home.
