Ruby – 18 month old female Rottweiler

Ruby has had the most terrible of lives so far and now needs new owners who will commit to giving her the best life ever. She is a nervous girl who has not been socialised correctly with people and she is extremely fearful of humans. This is not her fault and with time, patience and understanding she will develop into a wonderful pet.

She is currently in foster with 4 other large dogs and has been fine with them all. She would probably benefit from being homed with a confident resident dog to show her the way. As Ruby is so nervous she will not be re homed with children. If their are visiting children Ruby would have to be separated whilst they visit until progress has been made with her fear.

*Update*

Ruby is coming on well in foster but will still need an experienced owner. This girl has had a terrible life right from birth and was destined to continue living a horrible life. She is now in foster and is coming along well and is gradually learning to trust humans. She is clean in the house and well behaved, not destructive.

Ruby is great with other dogs and takes comfort from their presence. She would be best homed with another large breed confident dog to show her the way, this girl loves to play. She is too nervous to be homed with young children – teenagers only and only with large breed experience. She could potentially live with a very confident cat, as long as they are used to large breeds trying to play with them.

Ruby is fine when she’s left alone, although she’s young so has loads of energy and will need regular exercise. Ruby is very nervous of strangers and her fosters are working hard on introducing her to lots of new people. because of what Ruby has endured she will need new owners who are prepared to go the distance and work with her. This dog has been let down so badly already, please consider fully if you are able to offer her what she needs for the rest of her life. Ruby has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is on foster in Grays Essex.
