Ruby – 5 year old female Greyhound

This is stunning Ruby who has just turned 5 years old Greyhound. She is living in a foster home so is house trained, well versed in home manners and walks beautifully on the lead.

She has happily lived with the comings and goings of all manner of dogs – young and old, big and small – together with a positively steady stream of teenagers! She regularly shares her bed, her toys and her food without a grumble and we think would be happiest with another dog or dogs for company.

Because she is in foster she has had an opportunity to discover just what she does and doesn’t like in life and has drawn up a list of things that makes her life complete:

1. Toys, but most importantly, her rubber chicken (see photo). He is overwhelmingly the toy of choice and she loves to perform her now perfected “toss, spin and pounce” manoeuvre on him. He, as you can see, is bearing up quite well under the circumstances

2. Food – all food of course – but specifically Sunday dinner and dried sausages (she will do anything for them)
3. Burping – see point 2!!
4. Watching TV in an evening – particularly nature programmes or anything about animals.
5. The Vet (does that speak volumes about Ruby or our lovely Vet??)
6. Most importantly anything that is about Ruby – that can of course include bathing, grooming and ear cleaning or just general adoration.
She is a joy to be around – affectionate, sweet and, quite frankly, irresistible – see, I’m right aren’t I?

She is a glorious personality of a greyhound who would not be difficult to adore. Believe me, if her foster mum were able to keep her then you wouldn’t be reading this now.
