Rudy is a one year old medium size German shepherd cross. He belonged to people who live in a village just outside of Bucharest. Like many dogs in Romania he was the outcome of unwanted breeding. He was kept outside as a chained dog with wire around his neck until one day the people decided they didn’t want him any more. The good news is instead of dumping him in the woods, they decided to give him to Eli for Animals. The day they handed Rudy across ( named Rudy short for Rudolf as he was rescued by us early December) we realised he was the brother of Bagsy the dog you may remember seeing on our page as he was dumped outside Claudia’s house in a bag! So that solved the mystery of where Bagsy came from!
Rudy was a scared pup who had spent his puppyhood chained, living under a shed not seeing the world. Since being with us Rudy has grown in confidence. He has proven to be a well balanced dog with a sweet nature who gets on well with both dogs and cats. He can still be shy with strangers for the first few days but his personality soon shines through.
Despite a bad start to his life Rudy is a young dog who has his whole life ahead of him which he longs to share with a loving family. He would do brilliantly living with a confident dog and someone who is willing to show him the world.
