Rufus – 10 year old male Lurcher

Rufus is a 10 year old male Lurcher. We recommend children 10 and over only because he is a gentleman in his retirement. He is gentle, calm and loving with everyone he has ever met. He is happy to be around and walk with all dogs, but due to his age an older or calm dog would probably be best for him to live with, again, just because he is so calm himself. He has not yet tested with cats.

Rufus is a black and tan Lurcher boy. He’s am older lad and enjoys slow easy walks and lazy days on the couch and cuddling in for some affection. An ideal home for Rufus would be a quiet one due to his age and temperament. He loves affection from people and would benefit greatly from a family who is around a lot of the time and/or possibly a similar canine friend to keep him company.

He likes lots of food but we feed him a raw Diet, Barking Heads or Natures Diet at Glendee. He is in his older years and a little slower than we guess he used to be but he has been healthy during his stay, benefitting from some sort of remedy for his joints, he is on Yumove at Glendee but may require more from time to time. At Glendee Rescue, Hertfordshire.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Minimal during his stay in kennels, but we suspect he may suffer from some seperation issues in a home so training would need to be done immediately after adoption to help him settle

This is our current assessment, the assessments are on-going as always, and although we temperament test our dogs in many situations, we can not know how they be when they arrive in your home, support is given as always be given by the trainer you are matched to.
