Rupert is a lovely one year old male Labrador. Rupert came to rescue with his sister Ruby because their owners were not allowed to keep a dogs under the terms of their tenancy agreements and could not find anywhere else. Rupert is a well balanced, happy and socialised dog who loves to be in the middle of everything and every one. He loves attention and thinks he is fab and wants to be everyone’s best friend. Rupert loves to go out on his walks. He does get excited and is quite bouncy so will benefit from further basic command training to enrich his life a bit better. He does pull on the lead and does not always listen to you or do as he is told so strong rules and boundaries need to be put in place.
Rupert is a typical Labrador though and very food driven, so treat training will go a long way with a bit of chicken on offer whilst training is in progress. Rupert will need a good daily walk to burn off all his energy and help keep him a happy boy and he would love to eventually be let off the lead to run around freely. Rupert loves people, is good with children and other dogs. As Rupert is rather lively, we would not consider homing him with young children as he could knock them over but teenagers would be fine.
Rupert is looking for an active home where he will receive regular exercise and with someone who will take him to training classes to get the most out of him. Rupert is neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, wormed and de-flead. Rupert is fostered in North London in a multi dog household. For home checking purpose we favour applications from London and neighbouring counties although we may consider enquiries from further afield for the right home.
