Rupert is a 7 year old male Bichon Frise. He is not been fully assessed but has been good during all tests up to present with all people he has met so we suggest 8 and above at this moment in time. He has been fine with all dogs during assessments. He may be able to live with cats after passing an initial cat assessment with us at Glendee. Rupert is a small white bundle of energy! He is an older boy but still has plenty of life in him and loves a game and a fuss.
Rupert would fit in many home styles. He has been good with all people and dogs during assessments and seems to be happy spending time with everyone! He likes people to be around and so he will need company but can be left for a couple of hours each day as long as he has had a nice walk. He would like a home where he can have a nice walk and he could be left for about an hour and perhaps longer if he were gradually helped to be okay at longer times. He loves his food and at the kennels is fed a raw diet. He has been healthy during his stay at the kennels but will go for a vet check when he has his titer test soon. At Glendee Rescue, Hertfordshire.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Rupert would benefit from general training. He has no behavioural issues which have needed work on during his stay other than some general lead work and settling as he gets quite excited during our auntie sitting sessions so he will be excited meeting new people. He also likes having company and can be vocal when he is left on his own. So we suggest someone who only works part time or from home, or retired.
This is our current assessment, the assessments are on-going as always, and although we temperament test our dogs in many situations, we can not know how they be when they arrive in your home, support is given as always be given by the trainer you are matched to.
