Sadie – 6 1/2 year old female Golden Retriever

Sadie is a 6 and a half year old neutered female Golden Retriever. She is good with children and other dogs but not with cats. Sadie’s previous owner died. She has clearly had a nice home as she is a lovely girl and well trained, although she does pull on the lead at times. She knows lots of commands including ‘sit, ’stay’ and ‘down’. She is very gentle when accepting a treat. Sadie is fully housetrained and is okay to be left alone as she does not chew or bark.

Sadie is a wonderfully gentle girl and would make someone or a family a super companion and we are keen to see her in a nice home as soon as possible. Poor Sadie has done nothing wrong and must wonder what on earth has happened to her but to her credit she is coping well in kennels as long as she gets made a fuss of!

Do you have room in your heart and home for this brilliant girl? She is a nice natured girl and wants to be loved and enjoys any affection and I’m sure would settle in a new home. Please phone the kennels direct to view Sadie at your earliest convenience as I expect we will get many calls about her.

Please note, we operate a policy of NOT re-homing same sex dogs together, e.g. existing dog male then we would not allow another male dog to be re-homed with you. Same for females.

RSPCA Essex South West
The RSPCA Essex South West Branch is, like all RSPCA branches, an independent charitable trust. As such, it has to be financially self-supporting – in other words it has to raise the funds it needs to support its animal welfare activities. The Branch covers an area ranging from Dagenham & Barking in the South to Epping & Nazeing in the North, Waltham Abbey to the West and Abridge to the East. Although we do rehome our dogs to all other areas. The Branch is run and staffed entirely by volunteers. The main activity of the Branch is in rescuing and finding new homes for companion animals that for a variety of reasons are either homeless or cannot stay with their present owner. We work in partnership with Goddard's Chingford Kennels, who board and care for our rescue dogs. All dogs who are rehomed from us will have their initial course of vaccinations, worm and flea treatments, will be neutered, microchipped and come with 6 weeks free pet insurance in conjunction with the RSPCA and More Than insurance company. In the last eight years (to December 2012) the RSPCA ESSEX SOUTH WEST Branch has re-homed approximately 2200 cats and 1700 dogs. 220 dogs were re-homed in 2013.
